Sexual Abuse Compensation Claims
If you have been sexually abused over a period of time or as an isolated incident you could claim for compensation.
Sexual abuse is usually referred to as ‘historic abuse’ if it happened in your childhood and you are now an adult.
Childhood sexual abuse is among the most traumatic forms of abuse a person can suffer.
Whilst the physical injuries heal over time the mental and emotional impacts associated with childhood sexual abuse can have long lasting consequences.
Finding the courage and confidence to speak out after being subjected to any form of sexual or physical abuse to you when you were a child is understandably very stressful and no amount of compensation can change that.
The compensation we help secure for our clients’ can help with recovering from the experience and can be used towards helping recover financial losses, paying for therapy, counselling or whatever support you need.
How much compensation will I get?
Compensation for Sexual Abuse Compensation Claims is set at fixed levels depending on the type of injury you have suffered and how the severe those injuries are.
The minimum amount of compensation the CICA scheme awards is £1,000, and this rises up to £500,000 for the most serious injuries.
When we evaluate your claim we will be able to tell you how much compensation you should be eligible for.
How much will making a claim cost?
We undertake all CICA claims on a No Win No Fee basis which offers you peace of mind in knowing that you will not have to pay any money up front and there will be no financial risk if your case is unsuccessful.
If your case is successful, you will only be expected to pay a contribution to your solicitor’s fees once the case has been resolved. The costs paid are usually a percentage of the compensation awarded and will always be agreed with you, before your claim proceeds.
